Instead of making a donation, you can also support us with a neutering or permanent sponsorship.
What means a neutering sponsorship?
One of our association’s goals is to neuter as many of the stray cats as possible on Andros. With a neutering sponsorship you finance the neutering of a cat by the island vet (52 euros per animal) and you may choose a name for this cat.
In future travel reports or wherever we see this cat again, it will be addressed by the name you have chosen, adn you will get a photo of the cat from us.
How can I become a neutering sponsor?
If you would like to sponsor a neutering, you are welcome to contact us via the email address kontakt[at]cats-at-andros.de. You can also use the contact form below.
Our Greek partners or we ourselves, when we are on Andros, have cats neutered again and again. We will inform you immediately if such an campaign takes place again, and then you can then choose your sponsored cat.
Can I give away a neutering sponsorship?
If you are looking for a gift for friends, acquaintances or family members and would like to support our animal welfare activities at the same time, then simply give away a gift certificate for a neutering sponsorship! You donate the amount for the neutering to one of our bank accounts (see our bank details) and the recipient takes over the sponsorship and names the cat.
Just download one of the templates. If you already have a photo of the cat you have chosen for the sponsor, we can also create a certificate with this cat.
What means permanent sponsorship?
A permanent sponsorship is a regular (usually monthly) donation with which someone expresses their bond with a specific cat.
Such a sponsorship is a very kind gesture, but also a very symbolic act.
We cannot book this donation as a provision for exactly this animal, in case it turns up sick and in need of help – which we hope not – at a feeding site during the next trips.
We use these donations for food and medicines, which are distributed at the feeding sites, so that it also benefits the respective sponsored cat in this way.
How can you become a permanent sponsor for an Andros cat?
If you are interested in a permanent sponsorship, you can simply contact us as with neutering sponsorships via the e-mail address kontakt[at]cats-at-andros.de or via the contact form below. Or you can send us a private message in one of the Internet forums in which we are represented.
We do not keep an overview of which cats are still looking for a permanent sponsorship, but a page with existing sponsorships (see the next section). A good clue to find a sponsored cat are our travel reports in the Andros blog as there are, among other things, reports about very many cats.
There is no minimum amount, and also no „obligation“ to donate monthly. It should only be a regular donation – in the sense of „permanent“. The permanent sponsorship can also be terminated at any time, for example when the cat has left for Germany and has been placed.
So that we can assign the permanent sponsorships, the word „permanent sponsorship“ and the name of the cat should be written in the usage text of the donation. The easiest way to do this is to set up a standing order – here are our bank details.
